Dr. Sharon Ellis Cregier

Dr. Sharon Ellis Cregier is a consulting ethologist and journalist. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Keuka College, New York (1964), a Master's Degree from Antioch University, Ohio (1969), and a Doctorate from Walden University, Florida (1980).
Dr. Cregier is the North American co-ordinator for the international Equine Behaviour Forum and a contributing editor to its Equine Behaviour Journal. She contributes articles to professional and popular journals worldwide.
After receiving her doctorate in equine ethology, she consulted on equine behaviour and transport. Her clients include attorneys, government agencies, animal welfare societies, legislators, authors, and specialist journals. Among these are the Foundation for the Preservation and Protection of the Przewalski Horse, the Farm Animal Welfare Council of Great Britain, the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureaux, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the British Broadcasting Corporation, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the International Journal for the Study of Animal Problems, and Equus magazine.
Dr. Cregier’s work has taken her to Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
She and her husband, Dr. Don M. Cregier, formerly Professor of History, University of Prince Edward Island, reside near the town of Montague, P.E.I.
